On the front row of the French capital’s catwalks this fashion week shirtsleeves have emerged as the new statement piece. Never mind that Savile Row tailors suggest one’s cuffs should only peep out from under jackets by a quarter of an inch. Those who pay more attention to what is cool are wearing crisp button-downs with XXL appendages that hang well over the edges of their hands, while designers are pitching similar.
