The last day (September 22) of Azamgarh (in Uttar Pradesh) Mahotsav descended into chaos when popular Bhojpuri actress Akshara Singh took the stage. As soon as she appeared, the crowd erupted in excitement, with fans throwing shoes and water bottles onto the stage. As seen in videos online, the management was forced to intervene to quell the disturbance, and police were eventually called in to disperse the crowd, resorting to the use of batons.
Due to this incident, Akshara paused her performance midway and left the show.
