Illegal constructions in the buffer and Full Tank Level (FTL) zones of Bhadrakali Lake will be removed following a survey, and authorities will take strict action against land grabbers, announced revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. He shared this update with the media after offering prayers at Sri Bhadrakali Devi Temple in Hanamkonda on Sunday. The minister reviewed the ongoing beautification of the Bhadrakali bund, flood prevention work at Bondi Wagu in the lake’s catchment area, and development of Bhadrakali Mada Veedhi.

He directed officials to expedite the work for timely completion. Ponguleti Srinivas noted that the Bhadrakali Temple, built approximately 600 years ago, holds significant historical importance, drawing devotees from across the state seeking blessings. The government is committed to various developmental projects for the temple, aiming to enhance facilities for devotees.
