Sign up for our daily newsletter here The first order DAN HARRISON took as the new-to-town boss of a popular North Prospect Avenue eatery came from a familiar face. “My dad drove down from Minnesota to purchase a meal and be my ‘first dollar’ made as a Chick-fil-A operator,” he says.
“This was impactful to me because much of my philosophy on serving, caring for and impacting others comes from him.” Harrison joined Team “Eat Mor Chikin” in 2018, when he began working at Chick-fil-A’s Chanhassen, Minn., location, then spent five years in Madison, Wis.
, while “pursuing the opportunity of owning our own restaurant.” It arrived in January, when he became owner/operator of the Champaign location. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be part of this community and are excited to see how much joy we can create and spread throughout Champaign-Urbana,” says Harrison, who along with wife Maria and kids Beckman (2) and London (7 months) calls the outskirts of Urbana home.
