DULUTH — The Bayfront Reggae and World Music Festival is taking place on the harbor this Saturday. For more information on that and other big summer events, be sure to check out our guide to weekend fun. Here are six more suggestions for events to attend this week.

E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial What was happening in Duluth in June 1982? The Depot Square display storefronts were making their debut at the Lake Superior Railroad Museum.

Atari 2600 consoles were flying off the shelves at Musicland despite a price point of $138.99 — over $450 today. A News Tribune advertisement claimed that "over 25,735 in the Twin Ports" had taken the Pepsi Challenge.

Also, "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" was opening at Miller Hill Mall.

Whether you remember that era fondly or it was before you were born, on Friday you have the opportunity to see "E.T." in Duluth again.

This time, the Steven Spielberg classic is screening for free in Leif Erikson Park as part of Downtown Duluth's Movies in the Park series (downtownduluth.com). ADVERTISEMENT Tour of Homes and Gardens You could subscribe to "Architectural Digest" or "Better Homes & Gardens," but why spend your time peeping at pictures of out-of-town mansions when you can see five of Duluth's own fine homes in person? On Wednesday, July 17, the century-old Duluth Woman's Club is hosting its 56th Tour of Homes and Gardens.

Attractions include the Woman's Club itself, located in the historic 1910 Hartman house at 2400 E. Superior St. Food trucks will be on-site if you want to grab some sustenance for your garden rambles (duluthwomansclub.

Lutsong Music Festival It's been a rough year for Lutsen, which has had to cope with a disastrously dry winter followed by a calamitously wet summer, plus seeing the loss of its iconic Lutsen Lodge to a February fire. The show must go on, though, and this weekend the community is celebrating the third annual Lutsong Music Festival.

Artists including Joe Pug, Sarah Morris and Alpha Consumer will be performing on stages at North Shore Winery and Caribou Highlands from Thursday, July 18 through Sunday, July 21. Food, drink (one stage is located at a winery, after all) and visual art will also be part of the event, with a vendor village in place (lutsongmusicfestival.com).

The Big Wu in Silver Bay If Phish was Vermont's answer to the Grateful Dead, the Big Wu is Minnesota's answer to Phish. A jam band with a devoted national following, the Big Wu is playing a free show on Friday, July 19, as the kickoff to Silver Bay's Music in the Park series. Caitlin Nicol-Thomas will appear as a special guest.

City Center Park will host the series, which has an impressive lineup this year — including the Jayhawks on Aug. 23. Several artists in the series are also playing house shows as fundraisers for future live music presentations on the North Shore (rockywallproductions.

ADVERTISEMENT Moon Landing Party On July 20, 1969, the Apollo 11 lunar landing module came to rest safely on the surface of the Moon, carrying the first two humans to set foot on Earth's satellite. This Saturday, 55 years later, Duluth artists are celebrating the anniversary with a Moon Landing Party at the Jade Fountain.

Mara Lovejoy will cover David Bowie (the spacey stuff), Flip Arkulary will perform new space-themed songs and DJ Fraudulent will perform "an experimental set incorporating actual moon landing sound collage, theremin, rotary phone etc." Space-themed videos and a cocktail hour with electronic music round out a night that's sure to be a-Buzz with activity (facebook.com/paul.

durham.7). Coldplay by candlelight Coldplay may or may not be your favorite band of all time, but how many chances do you get to see a show at Duluth's Masonic Center — lit by thousands of candles? The Listeso String Quartet will be taking the stage at the historic downtown venue for two performances on Saturday night, playing arrangements of Coldplay favorites like "Fix You," "Yellow" and "A Sky Full of Stars.

" Fever, the company behind the show, promises an experience "like never before seen in Duluth" (feverup.com)..
