Aldi has become a go-to shopping destination for affordable (and sometimes quite random) stuff that we never knew we needed, thanks to its Specialbuys range . From garden furniture to beauty and beyond, you never quite know what you’re going to find in the famous middle aisle (which is part of the fun). For the uninitiated, we see Specialbuys land in stores every Sunday and Thursday, and once it’s gone, it’s gone.

With that said, as the Aldi Specialbuys veterans that we are, we know that popular products sell out fast. We’ve been tracking the Specialbuys for quite some time and have noticed some products return year after year owing to popular demand (hello, hanging egg chair ). Owing to the fact Aldi’s Specialbuys are now an in-store only affair (the supermarket stopped stocking its products online in July 2023), make sure you give yourself a chance to snap up the best buys (think air fryers , festival gear and even paddling pools ) before the crowds get to them.

Here, we’ve shared some of the latest Aldi Specialbuys and what we anticipate to be some of the most popular drops to look for. Olaplex fans will probably be aware of the Lacura bonded haircare range from Aldi, which has been likened to the cult favourite brand’s products. And now, Aldi’s sub-£4 bonded pre-wash treatment – said to strength, repair and hydrate damaged hair while being suitable for all hair types – is back in the middle aisle.

Plus, the supermarket’s bonded purple shampoo (£3.99, Aldi.co.

uk ) which comes with moisturising benefits, and violet pigments to keep brassiness at bay. Having been billed for amping up lash volume while affording them extra length and curl, Lacura’s girl gone bad mascara is less than £6. Applied with a soft bristled eye hugging brush and defined tip, to achieve fuller coverage, it’s cruelty-free and will, according to Aldi, hold your flutter in place for up to 36 hours.

Excitement is now starting to really ramp up ahead of the arrival of the Paris Olympics 2024, which will be kicking off this Friday (26 July). And, to help everyone celebrate, Aldi has launched a Team GB range . Everyone’s favourite anthropomorphised vegetable has been featured of course, namely, Kevin the Carrot.

And, the Team GB basketball and netballs (£9.99, Aldi.co.

uk) mean you can practice your ball skills, too. Calling all fans of L’occitane’s viral almond shower oil; Aldi’s Lacura almond shower oil has returned to the middle aisle this week. Likened to the pricier trending product, the budget supermarket’s version sets shoppers back £15 less than the L’occitane fan favorite.

Plus, it’s cruelty-free. You’re in luck if you’re looking to refresh your make-up bag this week. The cashmere glow foundation (£5.

99, Aldi.co.uk ) and concealer are both available in six shades and, to lock your look in place, the illuminate setting spray (£4.

49, Aldi.co.uk ) is being touted for its lightweight and hydrating formula and delicate floral scent.

This ceramide cleanser contains skin-loving ingredients such as with ceramides, amino acids and hyaluronic acid, and it’s suitable for dry to normal skin types. You can also pick up the moisturising, fragrance-free moisturising cream (£3.99, Aldi.

co.uk ), too. Whether you’re whipping up refreshingly cool slushies, iced lattes, or cooling cocktails to sip in what’s left of the summer sunshine, this budget-friendly appliance has you covered.

With different settings for fine and coarse ice shavings and an easy-pour jug, it is available in store in white, red or black. The Lacura vitamin C range has landed back in store this week, which means you can now add a host of brightening products to your basket. This brightening daily cleanser features PHA and orange fruit water for an even skin tone and addressing fine lines and wrinkles.

Similarly, there’s a vitamin C face cream, brightening serum and an eye cream to complete the collection. If you’re yet to invest in an air fryer, Aldi’s £50 appliance will be landing in the middle aisle from Sunday and, owing to the ongoing air fryer hype, we’re predicting it will sell out fast. With a roomy 6.

2l capacity, 60-minute timer and choice of eight cooking functions to help with hassle-free cooking, it will have you whipping up crispy fried foods with little to no oil. A travel essential that will keep your clothes feeling fresh and looking crease-free, this is one of the cheapest garment steamers we’ve seen. Touted for removing creases and ousting bacteria and odours from clothing, head down to the middle aisle from Sunday and you can snap up the £20 appliance for yourself.

Providing stability for little ones who are learning to ride their first scooter, Dreamworks’s tri scooter has three wheels, which should help them whizz around with ease. There are also adjustable handlebars to accommodate kids as they grow, an anti-slip footplate and puncture-proof tyres for a smooth ride. And they’re off! Summer seems to be racing by but this large paddling pool will help you make the most of the remaining sunny days.

Touted as easy to inflate, the pool holds around 400ml and features a cup holder and water drain valve. Designed for outdoor use, this folding, space-saving slide will lend itself to small gardens and tight outdoor spaces as it won’t contribute to garden clutter when it’s not being used. What’s more, it’s also ready to be used as soon as it’s out of the box, as there’s no assembly required.

The budget supermarket launches new Specialbuys every week on Thursday and Sunday mornings. In the rare case some items are left over, they will remain on sale until they are sold out. There is also a chance that some Specialbuys could be discounted every four to six weeks, depending on how much stock is remaining.

Aldi’s special deals are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, so shoppers need to be one of the first through store doors, to ensure they get their hands on their item of choice. Since July 2023, Aldi only sells its Specialbuys in its stores, as opposed to online. Due to increasing popularity, many of the supermarket’s deals sell out extremely quickly.

But, fear not, because you could get another chance to snap up one you missed. While some of Aldi’s Specialbuys are limited-run and only launch at a specific time of year, some are brought back, owing to popular demand, such as its famous Gardenline egg chair , which has sold out every time it has been relaunched.
