Back before OU entered the Big 12, Oklahomans would get worked up over Southeastern Conference hype. Now that the Sooners are part of the hype, perhaps that attitude has changed. But even though SEC hype is a real thing, that doesn’t mean it’s not justified.
I can’t very well get upset when SEC teams are exalted, when I do the same with my own rankings. My top three teams, and four of the top five, are from the SEC. But here’s one reason.
I value good wins. And the SEC is loaded with good wins. I fashioned a quick list of the season’s best victories.
