Monday, September 16, 2024 Bermuda is one of the standout destinations among Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) members, experiencing a notable rise in tourist arrivals throughout 2024. This North Atlantic archipelago, long challenged by limited airlift, is celebrating a breakthrough year with more direct flights than ever before, according to officials from the Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA). In total, 16 flights will serve Bermuda this season, with air capacity in the first half of 2024 soaring by 28% compared to the previous year.

Between January 1 and July 1, the island welcomed 61,619 air travelers, marking an impressive 11.4% increase from the same period in 2023. Leading airlines like American Airlines and Delta Air Lines have reinstated key routes, while BermudAir, Bermuda’s national carrier, launched new service to Boston this month.

Famed as a cruise destination, Bermuda has also seen a remarkable boost in cruise arrivals, with 234,790 passengers arriving by ship between January 1 and July 1—a 12.3% increase from the previous year.
