Following his “All Quiet on the Western Front” film winning the Best International Oscar, filmmaker Edward Berger has found his name being rumored to be attached to a bunch of different projects. The most notable of these rumors have seen his name linked to both the James Bond and Jason Bourne franchises. Out promoting his new drama “Conclave” which just premiered in Venice, he tells he’s not only not involved with Bond but wants to make it clear he’s not up for that kind of gig.

He tells the outlet: “That’s an absolute rumor. There’s no truth to it whatsoever. I would be very grateful if you put out that fire.



” On the flipside of this, one filmmaker who has also been linked to an unexpected project has confirmed the reports about him are correct. Iconic action director John Woo has confirmed to that his next film is indeed a musical with the band Sparks and will be titled “X Crucior”. Sparks lit the fire, posting a picture of themselves alongside Woo but not explaining the context.

Woo explains he’s working with the brothers who wrote the script and songs. In terms of where the film stands, he says: “We are just starting work on some changes to the script. It will be my first movie where I don’t need to hire a stuntman.

” Woo is coming off the dialogue-free “Silent Night” film and a remake of 1989’s “The Killer” which hit Peacock in the U.S. and Netflix internationally.
