" Regardless, Asa reprised the character in a recurring role for series five and six. As of the late, the actor has been sharing details of his Benidorm experience over on TikTok. This, of course, includes answering how much he was paid to serenade the patrons of Neptune's Bar.

In response, Asa said the amount changed over time after he became a regular character on the show. However, he did remember the amount for his very first episode which was the 2010 Christmas special. Initially, series writer and creator Derren Litten approached him with an offer before Asa received contract.

As he wasn't with an agent at the time, Asa explained "there was no negotiating" - with casting producers telling him it was either a yes or no answer for the part.
