New warnings signs have appeared on Benidorm beaches telling holidaymakers to be more careful when on the beach. So to highlight any potential dangers to British tourists who are visiting, a local took to TikTok to share more information. Frank lives on the Costa Blanca and helps to organise stag and hen dos.

He also posts videos online under the handle Frankthestagman – and has more than 148,000 followers. And in a recent video, he showed a sign that has recently been erected on Benidorm beach. The notice warned visitors to be aware of several hazards – including criminals looking for personal belongings to steal.

They recommend you leave valuables back in the hotel instead. It also urges holidaymakers not to exercise during the daytime, which is when the sun can be at its hottest. Instead, they recommend doing physical activity earlier or later in the day.

And it doesn't forget about our pets either – telling people not to leave their dogs in cars on the beach as conditions are scorching. But the part of the sign that Frank wanted to draw people's attention to involves unauthorised drinks sellers. The vendors are potentially flogging products that are unsafe to consume, which could end up being damaging to your health.

Frank has been very vocal about the drinks sellers in particular, who make the beverages at the side of the road before selling them at a hefty profit. In his video, he said: "This is on Benidorm's beach, one of the newest warning signs on the beach, they've got on there what I was talking about the other day about the illegal drink sellers." Previously, the TikToker posted a video where he warned the drinks would be "made in the boot of a car" by the side of a road.

And not only are the drinks of dubious quality, they could also land you in hot water with the police. Speaking on TikTok, Frank said: "Keep away from the likes of this guy here. He is an illegal drink seller and those drinks look really nice, they do, but the problem you've got is that the people that do this sort of thing - he's gonna walk down to the ledge and make it seem like he's from that beach club.

"And what he's gonna do is try and sell those cocktails at a tenner each, and they've been made by the side of the road in the boot of a car. You don't know what's in them." Frank highlighted a man carrying a tray of drinks and walking away towards the beach.

He added: "If you buy drinks from these vendors on the beach, you can seriously get a huge fine. It's a bit unfair in a way as it should be just the vendor that gets the fine." It goes without saying that buying from these people is risky to your health – and could end up ruining your holiday if you fall sick.

It's always best to buy from a licensed bar, restaurant, hotel or shop instead..
