By- Sant Rajinder Singh Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for the immense blessings in our lives. We must first and foremost, give thanks to the One who brought creation into being. The Divine’s unseen hand supports us every moment of our lives, and for this, we must be grateful.
We need to be thankful to the Almighty with every breath in this human existence. It is only because of His grace that we have this human birth – a golden opportunity for our soul, which has been separated from its Source for eons, to extricate itself from the wheel of transmigration and return to God’s abode. Second, we should be thankful for the grace and guidance we receive from our spiritual masters so that we can fulfil the purpose for which God bestowed this human existence on us.
We must show our gratitude for gains we receive in the spiritual arena, which positively impact every other aspect of our lives. Pain and suffering are a part of being human. Each of us has to go through the ups and downs of life dictated by our karmic inheritance.
Yet, spiritual masters dedicate their lives to relieving the suffering of humanity. They come to address the needs of times, and give of themselves, selflessly, with no concern for their own well-being, so that we, souls in their care can be guided towards the Light of God. Humanity has a long history of exploration of our physical world, particularly our interest in unravelling mysteries of outer space.
