Strictly Come Dancing 2022 winner, Hamza Yassin, made an emotional show admission on Thursday. The wildlife cameraman and presenter, 34, appeared on BBC Morning Live to talk about life after Strictly, where he was played a moment of his winning dance and the moment he was crowned Strictly champion 2022. Hamza said after the clip: "There's so much emotion, just watching it now I've not really paid much attention to it, I've not gone back and watched it.
So seeing it here and seeing the music, it brings back so much memories and joy." Although he added: "But yeah, nerves, I was always nervous, always nervous!" to which the shocked Morning Live presenters replied: "Were you? I couldn't tell!" Meanwhile, Hamza spoke about Strictly 2024's first elimination this weekend, where one celebrity will be sent home from the competition. He said the celebrities will be feeling nervous, adding he found it "nerve-racking".
He recalled: "I remember Jowita [Przystal - his pro dance partner] and I had this little thing we would do. I'd hold her thumb so we're standing as a partner, it was just my go to, I'm just going: 'Please, please, please I just want our names [going through to next week]'", adding he would breathe a sigh of relief upon getting through each week. Hamza added: "To be perfectly honest, week one I was like: 'Yeah, that's me going out.
' Hand on heart, I thought every single week this is the week I'd go out." It comes as Strictly Come Dancing 's Toyah Willcox could face an early.
