Strictly Come Dancing fans were left in a spin over TOWIE star Pete Wicks and pro partner Jowita Przystal after spotting a 'kiss' during their routine on the first live show Get the latest top news stories sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter We have more newsletters Get the latest top news stories sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter We have more newsletters Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts were convinced they saw a "kiss" between TOWIE celeb Pete Wicks and his dancing pro partner Jowita Przystal on the dance floor. The BBC show started with an unconventional Paso Doble set to The Prodigy's iconic tune Breathe, which turned out to be heavier on the feet than the audience expected. As Pete knelt, Jowita hurried to his side and pushed their faces close prompting viewers to believe their lips made contact.

Rushing to social media, one user questioned: "Was that a KISS between Pete and Jowita?" while another confessed: "Plz tell me I'm not the only one who saw Pete kiss his dance partner during their routine just now?" Someone further noted: "Obsessed with Pete just walking around for two minutes and kissing Jowita a few times!" Simultaneously, another fan predicted gossip: "I can already hear the rumours starting about Pete and Jowita!" "But why did they kiss three times? !" queried yet another puzzled spectator, reports the Mirror . Pete was decked out in full leather trousers, completed with a waistcoat, and kohl-rimmed eyes for an astonishingly novel performance. Most were astonished by his ability to move so adeptly in such an elaborate ensemble.

A fan expressed delight on social media: "Only Strictly can give you the tears of a mum watching her leather-clad son dancing the Paso Doble to Dave Arch's cover version Breathe by The Prodigy." Another admitted: "I am not a Strictly girly but I will be watching it just for Pete Wicks in a bit of leather." Strictly has once again sprung into action for 2024 after an exhilarating launch show.

The first week sees the celebs and their professional partners pair up for their initial shot at securing a spot on the leaderboard with their performance. Despite receiving feedback and scores from the judges, no one will be sent home in the first week. The real drama begins in week two when one celebrity will bid farewell to the dance floor permanently.

Audiences can get involved when the voting lines open next Saturday (September 28), and the first elimination of the series will be broadcast the following night. Tonight's excitement will commence at 7pm on BBC One, but there won't be a results show this weekend. Currently leading the betting odds are X Factor victor Shayne Ward and JLS star JB Gill although former professional dancer Erin Boag has hinted that Miranda star Sarah Hadland is also a contender to keep an eye on.
