The BBCs Jay Blades is not currently filming this year’s Christmas special. Blades was charged with coercive behaviour towards his wife. Following his recent court appearance, bosses decided immediately to press pause on his projects.
Jay became one of the most recognisable personalities on the small screen following the launch of The Repair Shop in 2017. The show follows a workshop where broken or damaged family heirlooms are brought back to life. This came after a statement made by West Mercia Police: “54-year-old Jason Blades of Claverley in Wolverhampton has been charged with controlling and coercive behaviour.
“He appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court this morning (Friday September 13) and has been bailed to appear at Worcester Crown Court on Friday October 11.” A TV insider told The Sun: “Everything is up in the air following Blades getting charged, but TV chiefs didn’t want to be seen to act slowly. “Until court proceedings have run their course, everything is getting put on hold, and alternative plans are being considered.
They continued: “But The Repair Shop is likely to continue as it’s hugely popular and the feeling is that the show is bigger than any individual.” Jay left fans shocked after he deleted all his social media accounts following his court appearance. His estranged wife Lisa Zbozen announced their marriage was over after just 18 months via a social media post on Instagram .
She told her followers: "I don't know how to say this because it's still really raw. "I probably should be really angry but I'm just incredibly sad about the whole thing right now. I don't think I've ever cried so much.
" The 44-year-old went on to say she was "crying" as she typed out the message and couldn't believe the end of their relationship was real. "I hope you don't mind if I just have a few days trying to figure out my life as I'm currently in a spare room with a few essentials," she continued. "I don't know what else to say.
