BBC DJ Danny Stubbs has died aged 40 following a year-long battle with a rare cancer. The radio star was diagnosed with stage four oesophageal adenocarcinoma in August 2023. The cancer was inoperable and tragically spread to his lymph nodes and spine.

Announcing the news, Danny's wife said in a statement: "I know he was fighting to be with me. The last few months have been incredibly hard, but he was so strong." This is a breaking showbiz story and is being constantly updated.
