BBC Breakfast host Naga Munchetty has expressed her devastation over the close of the Paris Olympics. During a segment of the news programme earlier today [August 17], the TV presenter shared that she felt "bereft" now the games held in the French capital have come to an end. Naga, 49, along with her co-host Charlie Stayt were speaking with a number of Olympic medallists, including trampolinist Bryony Page.

During the show, the news presenter said: "Hello. You're watching Breakfast with Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty ." Charlie then added: "Just coming up to 8:30 and we've spoken a little bit about how we're missing the Olympics.

" And it was at this point Charlie was then interrupted as Naga chimed in saying one word "bereft." Speaking of the highs and lows of the competition, Charlie added: "Missing those moments of watching the challenges, success, failures. It all comes as part of the package, doesn't it? We are basking in the golden glory this morning with some of the big winners from Paris, but don't forget, on the 28th I think, the Paralympics start.

" And one of the most memorable moments of the Olympics for both Naga and Charlie was by Bryony, who won Team GB's first ever Olympic medal in trampolining. Naga said: "Thank you, because you've brought so much joy to the whole of Team GB, and we..

. I am bereft that it's over but I am looking forward to the Paralympics." In response, the Olympic medallist said: "I'm looking forward to the Team GB homecoming tonight because we're going to be celebrating with all the team and I haven't seen them since we left, so it'd be really nice to see them all again.

" She added: "And of course, the Paralympics that are coming up because I've got friends in there that I want to watch as well. So yeah, really looking forward to it." Fellow presenter Hugh Ferris then decided to involve himself in the conversation and told viewers: "14 gold medals a lot of which we will be talking about today.

" Elsewhere, both Naga and Charlie jokingly called out their colleague Ben Boulos for an inaccuracy in his account of his teenage work history - and made an appeal to his family live on air. Ben, who is a finance expert, was talking to the pair about teenagers adding to their income with a Saturday job. Naga asked Ben on whether he had a part-time job growing up - and Ben claimed he didn't have one.

The presenter then quipped: "I can't believe you didn't have one. How lucky." But it soon emerged that in fact he did have a job as a youngster.

Charlie added: "You did have a job?" And it was only then, Ben admitted:"Yes I did, and also in touch this morning...

My parents were in touch." Unwilling to let the matter drop, Naga continued: "Because you said you didn't." Addressing his mistake, Ben said: "Wrongly, I forgot because it has been so long since it was the case.
