BBC Breakfast's Charlie Stayt couldn't resist a cheeky dig at the bold fashion choice of one particular guest perched on their famous red sofa. In Thursday's episode, the presenter chatted with Patrick Evans and Abi Thomas, both key players in the creation of David Attenborough's latest BBC show, Asia. The programme gives viewers a stunning peek into the secret lives of wild animals courtesy of some nifty drone work.

A sneak preview had been shared with the BBC audience prior to returning to Charlie and his colleague Nina Warhurst back in the studio. Straight away, Charlie zoomed in on Patrick's sweater choice. He playfully remarked: "Patrick, can I just say, it's obvious you've gone early with the festive jumper.



" Nina appeared to be quite fond of the seasonal spirit too, as she was heard exclaiming: "Love it!" Surveying his attire, a knitted jumper with snowflakes and reindeer in serene shades of blue and white the director conceded that it was somewhat 'out there'. He then justified his wardrobe selection, adding: "Yeah, well it's quite Christmassy out there. I don't know if you've noticed with the weather this morning.

So, I thought it was appropriate." Charlie quipped in response: "Oh I see! So you've gone with the weather? Well done by the way, well done for going for it, it's a first!"
