Ben and Sarah issued warning (Image: BBC Breakfast) BBC Breakfast: Ben warns viewers of upsetting details in report BBC Breakfast host Ben Thompson issued a warning to fans after backlash over "graphic" content. Ben and Sarah Campbell were in the hosting chair on Tuesday (August 6) and were about to delve into a segment about a British man who had been kept as a slave for over 25 years. It was one of the biggest cases of modern day slavery and his family have since sued the government and won a record payout.

The unnamed man was held on a travellers site with 17 other vulnerable men and was forced to work for little or no pay, fed on scraps and would be beaten if he didn't comply. Years later the victim's sister feels like she has finally won her brother an adequate sum of compensation for his years of torment and suffering. With the content being "upsetting", Ben and Sarah didn't want to take any chances with not issuing warnings to fans watching at home after the channel faced criticism for not issuing warnings over graphic surgery scenes at the weekend.
