BBC Breakfast presenters Ben Boulos and Rachel Burden delved into the world of Strictly Come Dancing on today's show, following the unforgettable black-out during Chris McCausland's performance on last night's episode. The comedian, who is visually impaired, incorporated a moment of darkness in his Couple's Choice routine with Dianne Buswell to John Lennon's Instant Karma, offering viewers a glimpse into his reality. This morning, Rachel and Ben expressed their admiration for the impact Chris has had in shifting public perceptions of what blind and partially-sighted individuals can accomplish.

They invited visually impaired dancer Shaun Hayward and his guide dog Kevin to the studio to discuss changing attitudes towards those with visual impairments. Shaun commended the recent addition of a 'detailed' audio description for programmes like Strictly and discussed the advantages of dancing for those who are blind or partially sighted. During the show, he also highlighted that people with disabilities are often underestimated, stating: "I'm Shaun, who's blind.
