BBC has greenlit a new series titled Policing Paradise, offering viewers an inside look into the challenges faced by real-life police officers. The 16-episode series, set against the backdrop of Bermuda's tropical islands, will document the daily routines of the officers as they patrol the seven interconnected islands. With an influx of 850,000 tourists from around the globe each year, the officers will reveal the unique responsibilities they undertake every day.

The series will spotlight a 500-strong police force comprising native Bermudians, individuals from across the Caribbean, and UK officers who have chosen to live overseas. Alex McLeod, Commissioner, BBC Daytime, remarked: "Policing Paradise is like the real-life Death in Paradise. "Audiences will be able to get lost in the Islands of Bermuda as they are taken on a journey with the wonderful police force working to keep Bermuda safe for residents and tourists.



"It’s a deep dive into the culture of these truly unique islands and one we hope audiences will feel privileged to be a part of.” Policing Paradise is being produced at Spun Gold's Birmingham production HQ, with MD Daniela Neumann expressing her excitement about the forthcoming show, reports Birmingham Live . She commented "Policing Paradise is a sunny, colourful and fascinating escapist series providing a window onto the work of the real-life team of police who have the job of keeping one of the world's most beautiful and sought after group of tropical islan.
