com . DIVISION 1 CENTRAL VS. GLENN IS A DOOZY Bay City Central and John Glenn brought some extra oomph into their playoff showdown.
And both sides used every ounce of it. Playing with the verve and vigor required at tournament time, Central outlasted the host Bobcats for a thrill-a-minute 24-26, 25-17, 22-25, 25-14, 15-11 triumph in the Division 1 district opener. “The energy was over the top and through the roof,” Central coach Christine Davila said.

Wednesday at Glenn. And it took plenty to get there. Glenn went into extended play to pull off Game 1, then added a Game 3 win that had it on the verge of victory.
With no margin for error, the Wolves battled back from the 2-1 deficit in impressive fashion, winning the next two games for the 3-2 conquest. “This was the most in-system we’ve played all year,” Davila said. “We struggled at times throughout the match just putting the ball away, but overall we were trying to play smart.
I had a lot of fun cheering them on.” .
