2L V8 not unlike the one under the hood of a Chevy pickup truck, the Tumbler is good for 525 horsepower and 486 lb-ft of torque. Its automatic transmission is also sourced from GM – but that’s the demarcation point of anything resembling a product from Ren Cen. Weighing about 5,500 pounds and measuring just over 15 feet long, the Tumbler is heavy as a Silverado but not much longer than a Supra.
At 9’3” in width, it is about a foot wider than a city bus. This all helps explain why the Tumbler isn’t street legal. Materials for its construction are said to include Kevlar, carbon fibre, and sheet metal fibreglass draped over a frame constructed of tubular aeronautical steel.
The jet engine is just a simulation without any flames but we’re willing to forgive that bit of theatre, thanks to the devastating cool factor of this entire machine. Other features include a smoke screen delivery system and imitation gun turrets (yes, of course they’re imitation, absolutely). Photos of the interior are scarce but the cabin is described as a two-place affair with an ‘original.
