April 15,1945-June 25, 2024 COLORADO SPRINGS, CO-Barbara J. Dorsey, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on June 25, 2024. Barbara was born to Robert King and Helen King, both of whom preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her younger sister, Carolyn S. Jessen. On January 20,1968, Barbara married the love of her life, Jon Dorsey.
Together, they built a beautiful life and had one son, Sean. After Jon's passing in 2009, Barbara moved to Colorado Springs, CO, to be closer to her family. She leaves be-hind her devoted son, Sean, daughter-in-law, Jimmie, and her cherished grandchildren, Hayden and Addison.
Barbara had a passion for life and a love for her family, friends, and cats. She enjoyed fishing with her late husband, gardening, and creating beautiful art. Her kind spirit, warm smile, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A private, family visitation to celebrate Barbara's life will be held at Swan Law Funeral Home in Colorado Springs, CO. Burial will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver Colorado.
