Monday, December 23, 2024 Iran Air, the national carrier of the Islamic Republic, has announced plans to enhance its international flight network. Starting December 23, the airline will introduce a new route connecting Bandar Abbas, a southern port city in Iran, to Doha, the capital of Qatar. Homa has announced the expansion of its flight network in the Persian Gulf region, as reported by Iran Air on Sunday.
The new Bandar Abbas to Doha route will operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Thursdays, using an ATR aircraft. On Mondays, the flight departs Bandar Abbas at 09:50 local time and returns at 12:30. On Thursdays, it takes off from Bandar Abbas at 13:00 and returns at 15:30.
Due to European Union sanctions on Iran Air, passengers traveling between Iran and Europe must rely on connecting flights through regional airports. Iranian authorities have criticized these sanctions, describing them as violations of international law and an infringement on the rights of Iranian citizens..
