Monday, August 26, 2024 Bali’s leaders are exploring innovative approaches to diversify and elevate tourism in the region, responding to growing concerns among stakeholders over the impact of mass tourism. A collaborative effort among experts aims to identify new strategies that benefit travelers, businesses, and the broader community. To support this shift, a new tourism body has been established, focusing on the development of unique tourism initiatives in Bali.

The Indonesia Sport and Special Interest Tourism Association (ISSITA) has been officially launched to spearhead these efforts. The launch event took place at Canna Bali, a beach club in Nusa Dua, on Thursday, August 22nd. ISSITA, recognized by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, will play a key role in shaping the future of tourism in the region.
