Rising force Balancing Act have shared new single ‘Under The Table’. The band’s second EP ‘Tightropes And Limericks’ is out on October 4th, and it allows Balancing Act to broaden their palette. Retaining those dynamic indie influences, the group insert different aspects, something that comes to the fore on their new single.

The loping bassline that runs through ‘Under The Table’ recalls Massive Attack, and there’s a trip-hop aspect to the production – it’s there in the world-building, the quiet intensity that blends elements of ‘Mezzanine’, say, with their indie rock origins. Jackson Couzens (guitar) shares..



. “The beauty of releasing a body of work is that you can explore more corners of your creativity and ‘Under The Table’ feels like just that. It’s heavily trip-hop inspired but we still bring it back home with a mean guitar riff in the middle.

It’s always been a live favourite because of the heavy dynamics, it’s a moment in our set to really let loose.
