Monday, October 7, 2024 Bahrain hosted Routes World 2024, welcoming 2,300 global aviation leaders to explore groundbreaking innovations and shape the industry’s future. The 29th Routes World event, a premier gathering for the global aviation sector, kicked off yesterday at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre, marking its debut in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Scheduled from October 6 to October 8, 2024, the event is hosted by Bahrain International Airport under the management of Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), with support from the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) and the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB).
This esteemed event has drawn over 2,300 delegates, representing 230 airlines and 530 airports worldwide. The opening ceremony saw distinguished attendees, including His Excellency Mr. Mohamed bin Thamer AlKaabi, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications; Her Excellency Ms.
Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism; Ms. Sara Ahmed Buhiji, CEO of BTEA; and Mr. Khalid Hussain Taqi, Chairman of the Gulf Air Group (GFG), along with other notable guests.
In his address, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed bin Thamer AlKaabi warmly welcomed global participants to Routes World 2024, underscoring the event’s importance as a platform for pivotal discussions on advancing the aviation industry, fostering global connectivity, and building on the successes of previous years. He further highlighted that hosting Routes World for the first time in Bahrai.
