Friday, August 23, 2024 Baha Mar, Nassau’s premier integrated luxury resort, is set to host the highly anticipated Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival from October 22-27, 2024. This year’s festival promises an expanded lineup of dazzling events and innovative programming, featuring an impressive array of tastemakers and celebrity chefs. Festival-goers can look forward to interactive demonstrations, intimate master classes, and live performances, highlighted by the return of FUZE—a groundbreaking art showcase.

Esteemed chefs such as Marcus Samuelsson from Marcus at Baha Mar Fish + Chop House, Ken “Katsuya” Uechi of Katsuya, and Dario Cecchini of Carna, alongside John Cox, Executive Director of Art & Culture at Baha Mar, will lend their expertise to this not-to-be-missed event. A major highlight of this year’s festival is a special live performance by the iconic Sir Rod Stewart. The Grammy-winning musician will take the stage at the Beach Party Powered by SLS Baha Mar at Baha Bay Lagoon on Friday, October 25.



This exclusive performance, Stewart’s only Bahamas show in 2024, offers fans a rare opportunity to enjoy the rock legend in an intimate setting. Additionally, renowned spirits expert Noah Rothbaum, sommelier Amanda McCossin, mixology master Karl Williams, and Bahamian mixologist Marv the Mixologist will make special appearances.

The festival begins with the Truffle Dinner by Daniel Boulud at Cafe Boulud on October 22, followed by five days of exceptional events. FUZE Art Expo, running from October 23-27, will showcase a diverse collection of artwork from seven Caribbean nations. Attendees can engage in artist-led panel discussions, guided tours, and live demonstrations, featuring over 35 artists and prominent galleries such as TERN Gallery, The Fresh Milk, and Bordón’s Gallery.

The Culinary Expo on October 26-27 will highlight Bahamian hospitality with mainstage chef demonstrations by Carla Hall, Geoffrey Zakarian, Scott Conant, and others. New and returning festival features include Marcus Samuelsson’s Marcus After Dark late-night party, The Art of Brunch with Carla Hall, Amanda Freitag, and Amanda McCossin, a Jazz Bar Happy Hour with The Essence Band, and a Collage Workshop with artist Shaquille Coleby. Guests can also participate in special master classes like Maneet Chauhan’s Kitchen Masterclass and Chef Simeon’s Beach BBQ with Karl “Franz” Williams.
