It’s been a whirlwind six months for Baby Reindeer ’s Nava Mau. Since Netflix’s breakout series hit our screens in April, the actor, who plays Teri in the show, has won numerous accolades, including being an honoree at the Critics Choice Association’s Celebration of LGBTQ+ Cinema & Television in June, as well as making history as the first trans Latina actor to be nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category at the Emmys . “I still have to kind of do a recap of the past six months at least once a week; I have to catch up to the reality that all of this really happened,” Mau tells Vogue over the phone from Paris.

That’s particularly been the case during her first fashion month, which has seen her rub shoulders with the great and good of Hollywood and beyond, from Channing Tatum to Solange. “I’ve continued to be shocked that basically everyone I’m meeting at these fashion shows – my fellow actors, musicians – have seen the series,” she says. “I was like, ‘Wait, Solange has seen Baby Reindeer ?’ It just blows my mind.
