Saturday, August 31, 2024 BLTM 2024, India’s top trade show for business and leisure travel, kicked off with key participation from global and Indian tourism bodies for a three-day event. The BLTM 2024, India’s leading trade show for business, leisure travel, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events), commenced yesterday and will span three days. This year’s edition features the active involvement of five National Tourism Organisations (NTOs), the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and seven State Tourism Boards, underscoring its prominence in the travel sector.

The event has attracted over 500 exhibitors from both domestic and international markets, showcasing a wide array of MICE and business travel products. Exhibitors include renowned NTOs and Convention Bureaus (CVBs) from destinations such as Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Israel, and Saint Petersburg, alongside Indian states like Goa, Odisha, Punjab, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Telangana, and Meghalaya. BLTM 2024 provides a comprehensive platform for exploring the latest trends and innovations in MICE and business travel.



The diverse lineup of participants highlights the event’s role in fostering global and regional tourism collaborations. At the opening ceremony, Florian Sengstschmid, CEO of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, highlighted a notable surge in Indian travelers to Azerbaijan. He reported that in 2023, Azerbaijan welcomed 115,000 Indian visitors, with that number climbing to 140,000 in the first seven months of 2024—a 2.
