The show has faced a number of long delays Austin Abrams has given an update on what he knows about the much-delayed Euphoria season three. READ MORE: Here’s what we know about Euphoria season three Back in July, the third season of the show was confirmed to start filming in January 2025, with its entire main cast – including Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney – to return. In a statement issued on July 12, HBO’s head of drama, Francesca Orsi, said she was “thrilled” to reveal that the show will begin shooting this coming January.
“We could not be happier with our creative partnership with Sam [Levinson] and this incredible cast. We look forward to bringing this new season of Euphoria to life for the fans,” the statement read. Now, Abrams has been asked about the show and his return, saying that while he’s “not tired” of being asked about it, he doesn’t have much information about it at all – like if he is even in season three, or when it will shoot.
He told IndieWire , “I just don’t have anything to say about it simply because I don’t know. I don’t know if I anticipate being included in the third season if they make a third season. I’d love to be included in it.
I loved working on that project. That’s all I can really say.” The new season was already on hold as show creator Sam Levinson worked on The Idol .
Orsi told Deadline in May 2023 that Levinson’s work on that, plus Zendaya’s schedule and the then-ongoing writers’ strike, would like.
