An Australian man is fighting for his life in hospital following a horror motorcycle accident, with his family receiving a generous anonymous donation to help cover the expenses of his emergency surgery and flight home. Dylan was holidaying in Bali when he was involved in a severe motorcycle accident on October 29. He sustained life-threatening injuries and was placed on life support while awaiting critical brain surgery to remove a large blood clot placing pressure on his brain.
His loved ones, Steve, Rebecca, Kai and Monique, made an emotional peal to the community for donations to help get Dylan home, the cost of which is eye-watering. "Dylan may be able to come home after this surgery and that would be a huge positive step for him and his family," a statement from the family reads. "But bringing him home will cost between $50,000 to $100,000 so your donations to help with this mean the world to us.
" One anonymous donor contributed $40,000, covering the cost of Dylan’s emergency brain surgery entirely. Another generous donator contributed $1,000, while several people made individual $500 donations. Dylan's family said they were "in tears" over the anonymous $40,000 donation.
