This indicates that there is a large Rs 22 crore pay difference between the two main actors. Jimmy Sheirgill, who played Tabu’s husband in the love saga received 1 crore for his supporting role.
Saiee Manjrekar, the daughter of Mahesh Manjrekar, portrays the love interest of Shantanu Maheshwari, and the two of them play younger versions of Krishna and Vasudha. Even still, the two performers’ salaries were not comparable. Saiee Manjrekar, the star kid received a salary of 55 lakh for the movie, but Shantanu, the TV actor and dance enthusiast, only received 35 lakh.
Tabu Reacts to Gender Pay Disparity During an interview with , Tabu reacted to the pay disparity gap and said, “Every media person will ask females about pay parity. They will say, ‘You know a man is paid more, you are paid less’. So why are you asking me? Why don’t you ask the person who is paying them more.
” She continued, “Why don’t you ask the male actor why you are getting paid more.” Tabu concluded by saying if there is an external lens, this may alter the viewpoint, which would change the entire picture. Physicality is constantly viewed via the lens that is being used.
