Audi has updated the new Q8 and has launched the new facelifted version at a price of Rs 1.17 crore (ex-showroom). Here is everything you need to know.

The Audi Q8 is the top of the line sporty SUV that is present in the German luxury car manufacturers portfolio in the Indian market. Audi has now launched the facelifted version with a few changes on the exterior, interior and features and has been launched at a starting price of Rs 1.17 crore (ex-showroom) in India.



Audi Q8 Facelift: Design The new Q8 facelift features a new front fascia which has a changed up grille which has vertical slats now. The lights are full LED matrix units with customizable digital light signatures. There is a new diffuser at the rear, two-dimensional Audi logo on the front and the back and newly designed 21-inch alloy wheels with red-painted brake calipers behind it.

The overall shape of the vehicle has remained the same with the beautiful design and frameless windows still remain a defining feature of the Q8. One can choose between 8 colour options in terms of the exterior which include: Waitomo Blue, Mythos Black, Samurai Grey, Glacier White, Satellite Silver, Tamarind Brown, and Vicuna Beige and an exclusive new shade of Sakhir Gold. Audi Q8 Facelift: Interior and Features The interior has remained mostly the same with the update.

There is a 12.3-inch digital drivers display called the virtual cockpit, a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen and another 8.6-inch touchscreen which is responsible for all the car functions like the HVAC controls and drive modes dominating the centre of the cabin.

Even though Audi has pushed a lot of the physical buttons inside a screen, that screen remains on all the time with a haptic feedback and is by far the best implementation till now out of all the manufacturers. They have also added new features to the car which include Park Assistant Plus, a Bang&Olufsen 3D premium sound system which comprises of 17 speakers and has a total output of 730 watts. There is Audi Navigation Plus, a 360-degree surround view camer and a 4-zone climate control system as well.

One can choose between four interior colour options which include Okapi Brown, Saiga Beige, Black and Pando Grey. Audi Q8 Facelift: Drivetrain The new Q8 features the same 3.0L V6 engine which was available in the pre-facelift version of the Q8.

It is offered with a 48V mild hybrid and produces 340 bhp and 500 Nm of torque paired to an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission transferring power to all four wheels via the Audi Quattro system. It will do 0-100 kmph in 5.6 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph.

Audi Q8 Facelift: Price and Competition Audi has launched the Q8 in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 1,17,49,000 (ex-showroom). It will compete against the likes of the BMW X5 and the Mercedes Benz GLE both of which also get a diesel engine on offer increasing their appeal but Audi has not given a diesel SUV in the Indian market since the new emission norms kicked in..
