Adam Scott will probably never forget being cast in NBC’s hit series “ Parks and Recreation .” Scott, who joined the show as state auditor Ben Wyatt in its second season, recently recalled his co-star Aubrey Plaza cheekily pranking him when he finished reading his lines for the first time. “I remember at the end of the table read I breathed an audible sigh of relief,” Scott shared in Jim O’Heir’s new book about the show, “Welcome to Pawnee,” per Entertainment Weekly .

“Aubrey came up to me and passed me a note that was folded up very tight.” Scott said it reminded him of a scene in “ Shutter Island ” (2010) where Leonardo DiCaprio , who plays a determined federal marshal, is similarly passed a mysterious note, and it leads him on an existential quest that changes his entire life. “At the time it was a famous moment that had just happened in a famous movie — and Aubrey’s note said ‘Run,’ just like in the movie,” Scott revealed in the book, which was published by Harper Collins earlier this week.
