Au Départ , a pioneering leather goods brand dating back to 1834, unveils its latest boutique in Paris . This opening marks a pivotal moment for the brand, which has been instrumental in shaping France’s luxury narrative for nearly two centuries. Located on the prestigious Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the flagship store balances Au Départ’s rich legacy with a contemporary aesthetic.

Surrounded by Parisian haute couture and mere steps from the Palais Garnier, this location seamlessly bridges the brand’s historical roots with its modern identity. The architectural concept of the boutique masterfully combines contemporary and classical elements. Raw concrete walls contrast with elegant marble surfaces, accented by refined brass detailing that adds warmth and sophistication.

The boutique’s layout unfolds a narrative across its two floors. The ground floor showcases Au Départ’s signature collections, with heritage pieces reflecting a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship. Upstairs, the Au Départ Art Collective marks an exciting new chapter, serving as a creative hub for artistic dialogue and innovation.

To celebrate the opening, Au Départ invited artists Diana Kim and Scott Ponik to reimagine the traditional window display and transform the boutique into an art gallery cube. This creative installation offers a glimpse into the brand’s artistic vision and commitment to merging heritage with contemporary art. Au Départ Paris 20 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Hono.
