A theft attempt was reported at the Maisamma temple at Shivarampally in Attapur on Monday morning. The incident came to light when the temple priest arrived for prayers and noticed that the crown of the deity, which is kept as part of the temple's offerings, was displaced. The priest immediately alerted the police and filed a complaint.
