Several great anime stories have come out in recent years but none like Attack on Titan. The evolution of characters from Eren Jaeger, Levi Ackerman, to Armin Arlet have been nothing short of amazing. The show has characters zipping around gigantic Titans, slashing them away, all while delivering on the story with gruesome deaths and destruction.

Moreover, the top-notch anime is filled with shocking plot twists. Who can ever forget the brutal death of Erwin Smith or the revelation that life existed beyond the great wall covering the island of Paradis. Author Hajime Isayama gave a strong foundation to the history of Eldians and why they were being oppressed and isolated from the rest of the world.

Likewise, the story of the antagonist country of Marley was equally justified. Lines were blurred between what’s wrong and what’s right and it was all left up to the audience to decipher who was the real enemy. What began as a war anime suddenly became something more, questioning moral obligations, until it all summed up in a tragic ending with the release of its final installment last year.

Now, as the one-year anniversary of Attack on Titan’s conclusion is drawing closer, the beloved anime has announced a surprise film. But don’t be excited, there is a twist. A post shared by ANIME NEWS (@todayanimenews) Titled, Attack on Titan: The Last Attack, the movie arrives in theatres on November 8, 2024, only three days after the one-year anniversary.

However, it is exclusive to Japanese cinemas for the time-being. The announcement was confirmed with an exciting trailer, featuring snippets from the conclusion episodes with lots of fire, titans, and members of the Survey Corps. If you are expecting the final movie to contain additional content, we are sorry to disappoint you.

The Last Attack, with a run time of approximately 145 minutes, is a compilation film of the last few episodes. Attack on Titan The Movie: THE LAST ATTACK Officially Announced for November 8! The 145-minute film will be a theatrical version of THE FINAL CHAPTERS (Parts 1 and 2) featuring improved cuts and 5.1 surround sound.
