ATR reached a major milestone in its journey by delivering the 1,700th aircraft since the inception of its program. The 1,700th aircraft was delivered to Air Corsica, a valued customer with a long-standing relationship with ATR.

The journey began with the ATR 42-200 , which received its Type Certificate from both the French Directorate General for Civil Aviation and the Italian Civil Aviation Authority in 1985. The company’s first major delivery took place in December 1985 when the French regional airline Air Littoral received the inaugural ATR 42-200.
