Clarke County High School 15-year-old sophomore Golf Erin and Craig Trent White Post There's always change going on. There's no such thing as a perfect round of golf. There's always something to improve.

When I hit an albatross. (Three-under par on a hole.) That was [July of 2023] at Millwood Country Club [in Boyce].



It was a par-5, and I hit a 225-yard drive. I hit my second shot with an iron from about 180 yards, and it went in the hole. I didn't realize it had gone in.

I was with my grandmother, and she didn't believe it went in. We had to go see if it really did go in. When we saw it did, it was pretty cool.

After chipping a ball to within a foot of the hole, I lipped out a putt that would have been a birdie. That was about three years ago at Millwood. Freshman year of high school golf season, I was one stroke away from states.

(Trent shot an 83 to place sixth overall at last year's Region 2B tournament at Heritage Oaks Golf Club in Harrisonburg.) There were many holes where I could have easily ended with a par or birdie. I thought I didn't play my best.

Knowing I missed par by a stroke, that definitely wasn't great news. It's motivated me this past year to be better than I was last year. Jesus Christ; I'd ask him how he made life so beautiful and adventurous for us.

Nelly Korda; because she seems like such an inspirational person. She always has a good attitude in her matches. And Tiger Woods; he's a massive influence on everyone's golf game.

My grandpa Walt. He's played every possible sport there is, and he knows so much about golf. He always wants to tell me about a new trick or a new shot.

He's always helped me with my game. He's the one who got me started on playing golf. My eighth-grade drama teacher [at the Powhatan School], Natalie Greenhalgh.

She always had a smile on her face, and she was very easy to talk to. She made school a lot more fun for everyone. Nelly Korda Dallas Cowboys "Happy Gilmore" “Gilmore Girls” "Haunted" by Luke Bower Sushi Some habanero chips that were absolutely disgusting.

They tasted way too spicy for my pleasing. I was crying a lot eating them. That was in June.

I plan on going to a D-I school for golf and hopefully, doing something after college with golf by teaching in some way, shape or form. I'd like to coach at a college. I like talking about golf and sharing information about it.
