Atalanta CEO, Luca Percassi, has cleared the air on his side’s transfer dealings during the winter window, revealing they’ll be doing their best to keep their current squad, including Ademola Lookman, Soccernet.ng reports. Lookman was Atalanta’s breakout star in 2024, playing an integral role in the club’s success while showing up for Nigeria across several tournaments.

The former Everton man was placed 14th in the Ballon d’Or rankings, before crowning a brilliant year off by winning the CAF POTY Award in Morocco. His brilliance saw him linked with several teams , but the 2024 UEFA Europa League winners made it clear to the interested parties that they wouldn’t be parting ways with the Nigerian, or any of their players in the January transfer window. Speaking ahead of La Dea ‘s Super Coppa Italiana clash against Inter Milan, the club’s CEO confirmed he’s pleased with the team at his disposal, but didn’t rule out his side’s involvement in making a deal happen this month.
