Jeedimetla Police on Tuesday arrested an assistant registrar at the Registrar of Chits and Finance, Nampally, for her alleged involvement in a forged land documents case. Vujjini Jyothi was arrested for facilitating the registration of a plot using fake documents. At the time, she was the sub-registrar in Quthbullapur mandal.

The related police case was registered on September 16. During investigation, six accused individuals were arrested and sent to judicial remand in October 2024. According to Jeedimetla SI, one Lendyala Suresh had reached out to the police alleging that his 200 square yards land was being encroached.



During investigation, the police identified Quthbullapur resident Padmaja Reddy, aka Padmakka, as the main accused. She contacted a person named Repati Karunakar and gave him Rs 3.5 lakh for the forged land documents.

Karunakar and his associates created a fake death certificate against land owner Suresh's name, showing he died in 1992. Another accused Ravishanker and his son created a legal heir certificate. In February 2023, the Quthbullapur sub-registrar office got the land registered on Padmaja's sister's name, Nagireddy Komala's, using the fake documents.

The first six accused who were arrested have been identified as - Nagireddy Komala Kumari, 49, a resident of Subash Nagar, Padmaja, 32, a resident of Quthbullapur , Gaganam Narendra, 25, V Ravi Shankar, 38, M Harish, a native of Guntur, and R Karunakar, a resident of Hayathnagar..
