Monday, August 19, 2024 Assam’s Tourism Minister, Jayanta Malla Baruah, has recently taken a significant step to boost tea tourism in the state by issuing sanction letters to 34 tea gardens. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to leverage Assam’s rich heritage in tea production, aiming to transform the state’s tea gardens into vibrant tourist destinations. By facilitating these gardens to develop their tourism potential, the minister is fostering a unique blend of cultural, agricultural, and experiential tourism that is expected to draw visitors from across the globe.
