Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem created history when he became the first person from the country to win an individual gold at the Olympics after he emerged victorious at the 2024 Paris Olympics by winning the top medal in the javelin throw event. Ever since his win, Nadeem, who overcame seemingly insurmountable obstacles in his journey of becoming an Olympic gold medalist. Now, he is being rewarded for his win.

But, one the gifts being bestowed upon Nadeem is a Suzuki Alto (which is known as Maruti Suzuki Alto in India), a small, compact car that falls into the affordable category. Besides, Maryam Nawaz, the Chief Minister of Punjab province in Pakistan, announced a prize of Rs. 10 crore (Pakistani rupees), and Syed Murad Ali Shah, the Chief Minister of Sindh, announced a prize of Rs. 5 crore.

In addition, Pakistani singer Ali Zafar, cricketer Ahmad Shahzad, and Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab promised Rs. 10 lakh each whereas Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, the Governor of Punjab, announced Rs. 20 lakh for Nadeem.
