A man has been arrested after a 'disturbance' broke out during a Christmas service at a Catholic church in Hove. Police were called to St Peter's Church in Shelley Road after reports of a man disrupting the Midnight Mass service. It was described as a 'disturbance' by a Sussex Police spokesperson.

He was dealt with by way of an out of court community resolution. A Sussex Police spokesman said: "Following engagement with a number of individuals at the service, the incident is not believed to have been religiously aggravated and no reports of violence were received.
