CANANDAIGUA — Finger Lakes Community College will host three performances of the family-friendly musical “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” beginning Thursday. Show times are 7 p.m.
Thursday and Friday, and 2 p.m. Saturday, in the main campus auditorium.
Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for senior citizens and non-FLCC students. Children 5 and younger are admitted free. The show is under two hours, with an intermission.
The characters will visit with the audience after the show. The musical, based on Charles Schulz’s “Peanuts” comic strip, was first performed in New York City in 1967 and revised in 1999. The show follows Charlie Brown’s struggle in finding out what it means to be a good person and is appropriate for families with younger children.
The cast consists of eight FLCC students: Natalie Mix of Henrietta as Lucy; Elizabeth Gariboldi of LeRoy as Freida and Woodstock; Phallon Rivera of Medina as Peppermint Patty; Everest Cook of Clifton Springs as Snoopy; James Maloney of Seneca Falls as Schroeder; Jasiere Wright of Rochester as Linus; Pearl Walker of Springwater as Sally Brown; and Caleb Heim of Williamsville as Charlie Brown. The production team includes Professor Beth Johnson as director, Zach Bowman as stage director, James Perri as scenic designer, and Sarah Spindler as costume designer..
