Wednesday, August 21, 2024 Arizona Science Center is excited to offer a special free weekend, made possible by the generous support of Fry’s Food Stores. On Saturday, September 7, and Sunday, September 8, visitors of all ages are invited to explore engaging interactive exhibits, participate in hands-on activities, and enjoy captivating demonstrations designed to spark curiosity and a passion for learning. Whether you’re a family seeking a fun outing, a student with a love for science, or simply eager to discover something new, Fry’s Free Weekend at the Arizona Science Center promises the perfect weekend experience.

Fry’s Free Weekend also coincides with the final days of OceanXperience—a unique, adventure-filled traveling exhibition aimed at raising awareness about the world’s oceans. Visitors are encouraged to step aboard an interactive replica of OceanXplorer, the world’s most advanced research and filmmaking vessel, and embark on a mission that ignites their curiosity. “We are thrilled to partner with Fry’s Food Stores to offer this free weekend to our community,” said Guy Labine, The Hazel A.

“Our hearts are in the communities we serve and this is a great opportunity for us to give back to families in our beautiful state.” During Fry’s Free Weekend, guests can enhance their visit with additional experiences for just $5 each, including films in the five-story Irene P. Flinn Giant Screen Theater, the OceanXperience exhibit, VerticalVenture, the Evans Family SkyCycle, and CREATE Makerspace Pop-Up Activities.

Due to the expected large crowds, please be prepared to wait outside for 45 minutes or more. To ensure your comfort, remember to bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. The safety of our guests and team members is our top priority, so we will have tents for shade and water stations available while you wait to enter the building.
