What is this feeling? For Wicked fans, it was pure magic once Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo posed alongside original Broadway stars Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth on the red carpet of the film's Nov. 9 premiere in Los Angeles. But this wouldn't the first time the powerful group got together ahead of the movie's official premiere.
As Erivo, who plays Elphaba—a.k.a The Wicked Witch of the West—explained, their predecessors welcomed them to the Land of Oz with open arms .
"We had an amazing day yesterday with the women who created this, the architects, Kristin and Idina," Erivo told Justin Sylvester and Zuri Hall during a joint interview with Grande on the red carpet at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. "That was one of the most incredible highlights of our year, to be honest, to be able to share some space with them." And the "yes, and?" musician couldn't help but agree.
