Who does not love a good workout while experiencing scenic Connecticut? A poll of 3,000 fitness enthusiasts by 101GreatGoals.com sought to uncover the U.S.

’s most popular Labor Day workouts , and three Connecticut locales made the list. First up is kayaking on Candlewood Lake, which landed at 49th, according to 101GreatGoals.com.



The picturesque setting with rolling hills and forests makes for a great backdrop while getting out on the lake in your kayak. Next up is hiking Sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden at 66th, according to a poll. Its spread of trails in the midst of Connecticut’s natural beauty is a great choice for getting a workout in during Labor Day.

Last to make the 101GreatGoals.com list in Connecticut is running the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail, which squeaked in at 143rd. The massive, 84-mile trail makes for a scenic yet flat course for fitness enthusiasts to soak in the historic towns and lush landscapes.
